Why Choose The Olmsted?
Built from 1925 to 1927 as the dining hall for the Masonic Widows and Orphans Home, this building, Johnson Hall, sat virtually vacant from the early 80’s to 1997. With a commitment from The Masons, the Masterson family envisioned Louisville’s premiere stand alone special event facility and created The Olmsted. Today it stands in its old world glory to help create special memories for special people and does so with grace and impeccable standards. Recognized many times as the Best of Louisville event facility, The Olmsted and Masterson’s have hosted already over one thousand Louisville couples and families on their most special of days. Our team at The Olmsted is without exception, the absolute best there is at what they do. Chef Oscar Hernandez will create and execute sumptuous menus and our General Manager, Jeri Payne, will walk you from initial inquiry to your dream day where our Captains, Sherlon and Sarah and the rest of our service team will keep the festivities focused on you and your spouse.
Generation after generation of Mastersons have provided foodservice to this community for over 80 years. Continuously family owned and operated since 1938, our businesses have learned from the successes and trials of past generations as new generations provide fresh ideas and a passion for food, service and community.
